The 36th Malaysia Xiangqi Team Championship 2025 concluded successfully in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, from June 6th to 8th, 2025. The event saw the participation of 80 players across 22 teams. After three days of intense competition, Negeri Sembilan A emerged as champions in the Adult Category, defeating Selangor in the final. In the Under-15 Junior Category, Selangor claimed the championship title by overcoming Johor in the final.
Negeri Sembilan’s Master Li Dezhi secured the Best Adult Performer award with a perfect winning record, marking his fourth consecutive year achieving this feat. The Best Junior Performer award went to Cheng Yok Kuan from Selangor.
