2025 “MEGA3 CUP” Malaysia Xiangqi Elite Tournament Concludes Successfully, Li Dezhi, Vespera Ang Cheng Wuey, and Cheng Eason Crowned Champions in Men’s, Women’s, and Junior’s Categories
The 2025 “MEGA3 CUP” Malaysia Xiangqi Elite Tournament, organized by the Malaysia Xiangqi Federation, concluded successfully from February 28th to March 2nd at the Negeri Sembilan Hainan Association. The tournament brought together 22 elite Xiangqi players from across the country, who competed fiercely over three days.
In the highly anticipated Men’s Individual category, Li Dezhi demonstrated his exceptional skills and consistent performance, emerging as the champion and receiving a prize of RM 1500. Lee Wen Ze followed closely, securing the runner-up position with a prize of RM 800. Sim Yip How and Khor Yon Jian finished third and fourth, respectively, receiving prizes of RM 400 and RM 200.
In the Women’s Individual category, Vespera Ang Cheng Wuey showcased her remarkable talent and determination, claiming the championship title and a prize of RM 800. Thong Yu Xuan, Wong Yu Cheng, and Lim Sze Kee secured the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively, receiving prizes of RM 400, RM 200, and RM 100.
The Junior’s Individual category also witnessed intense competition, with young talent Cheng Eason emerging as the champion and receiving a prize of RM 800. Ooi Wei, Wong Yi Heng, and Chong Yun Qi finished second, third, and fourth, respectively, receiving prizes of RM 400, RM 200, and RM 100.
